sixteen month stats

Addilyn is 16 months already! I can't believe it. She is growing up too quickly. I thought I would document a few of the things she is doing lately:
  • Runs everywhere in the house and is climbing on everything
  • Uses a lot of sign language
  • She doesn't say a lot of clear words yet but she does say mama, dada, Bean (as in Beans, the dog), ish (ice), nana (banana), ba (ball), bye, and teesh (teeth). I'm sure I'm missing some and she seems to be picking it up pretty quickly lately
  • She loves imitating animals with sound or movement. She can do an elephant, pig, Raja (our dog), sheep, horse, snake, cat, fish, cockroach (more like dead roach lying on the ground shaking her legs and arms. haha), a worm, gorilla, monkey, and birdie
  • Raise the roof with her hands in the air
  • Loves to dance
  • Has all of her teeth
  • Goes through picky phases when it comes to food but other times she will eat almost anything. She loves fruit and hummus. She also likes chicken, fish sticks, veggie tots, mama's homemade Popsicles, and cheese
  • Screams and high pitch scream when she doesn't get her way
  • Likes to pick on Beans but also likes to feed him his food one by one
  • Likes to play with blocks and loves stuffed animals
  • Is always wanting to wear necklaces and bracelets and scarfs
  • Hates to get her hair washed
  • Is in the 90's percentile for height, weight and head circumference. She is a big girl but the doctor always says she is very proportionate
  • Likes to paint and color with crayons and markers
  • Has super curly hair and we don't know where it came from
  • Likes to point to her "belly bo" (belly button) and find ours
I'm sure there is much more but, I'll leave it at that for now. This age is tough sometimes but her silly personality and amazing abilities sure makes it a little easier. She definitely keeps us on our toes. To us, she is a wonder.

Tracy, thank you so much! I feel like I'm a little obsessed (okay, a lot obsessed) but, I'm glad I have one person that likes them! :)
