Over the weekend...

This weekend was a busy one. Navin had Saturday off, so we took advantage and got out of the house. We started off with breakfast and then it was off to the pumpkin patch. The morning stated off with cool weather but unfortunately, it heated up as the day went on. We still enjoyed exploring the large farm.
Addi really liked seeing the animals up close. She loved petting the goats. I liked watching her so intrigued by the goat's coarse fur and smooth little horns.
There was so much to do and see. We had to take a break and enjoy some cold Italian ice. We hopped on a tandem contraption that we had to peddle around a bumpy dirt coarse. Addilyn enjoyed riding in the front hanging on for her life.
After the pumpkin patch and a nap for the little one, we decided to try out a cute little pizzeria by our house on Main Street. We love a good pizza.
We ended our Saturday by going to see Addilyn's great grandpa, Peter, and feast on some Indian Tacos. Grandpa Peter only speaks Navajo but I love seeing his sweet smile and hearing him chuckle every once and a while as he watches his great grandchildren play.
Addilyn and Aiden are numbers 26 and 27 of the grandchildren on the Wood side of the family. They are only a few months apart. It's cute to see them together.
Sunday was a little less eventful. We went to church to see my brother-in-law give a talk. Afterward, we enjoyed a nice family nap. We then went to the park to feed the ducks and ride the train and carousel. Addilyn was more interested in eating the bread rather than feeding it to the ducks.  I was quite interested in watching a Green Heron fish. It was not shy at all and probably caught about a dozen fish while we were there. We absolutely love birds and this was a beautiful thing to be able to watch so closely.
It was a wonderful weekend. It was hard to not post every picture taken. I am so grateful for the time we were able to spend as a family. I sure do love my little family.
